Water control valves

Water control valves adjust the flow of water in heating and air conditioning systems. Some of them also serve to shut off and distribute the flowing liquid and to continuously regulate cold and hot water. Control valves with manual operation are designed for smaller circuits, such as small heaters and coolers, domestic distribution systems, and floor distribution systems, and are installed using an external thread on the valve body. Lift water control valves are operated by a lift actuator, which can be purchased in a set with the valve or separately. Lift valves are used for family homes and larger applications and are connected to the system using a thread, flange, or weld, but it is always necessary to pay attention to the flow direction. Water control valves are not suitable for use with other types of media and it is important to select them with regard to the operating fluid temperature. The valves are maintenance-free, but a larger amount of mechanical impurities may occur in the water, which shortens their lifespan, reduces functionality, and may even cause damage. To ensure long-term reliable operation, we recommend installing a suitable water filter in the distribution system before the valve.

In heating systems, mixing devices, and wherever there is a need to sensitively adjust the flow of the medium, water control valves are used for this purpose. In the smallest version, these are manually operated, closed, and adjustable control and shut-off valves, operated by an adjustment wheel. They are used in residential distribution and distribution for individual floors. Installation is usually carried out using an external thread on the valve body.

Lift valves for water can be two-way or three-way. The design specifically intended for the distribution and regulation of water or other liquids always has specific specifications listed. Some types of water valves are not suitable for all types of liquid media. This requires increased attention during selection, as does the choice of a suitable control actuator. The closing curve characteristic and flow direction are always specified for the valve. For mixing circuits in family homes with weather-compensated control, three-way control valves with three-point regulation via an actuator are suitable. In addition to external thread connections, flange connections are used for larger valves, characterized by high tightness and reliability.
