Whenever a tap is opened and water supply is initiated, the pressure sensor detects a drop in pressure due to water depletion from the system and activates the pump. The pump is thus activated whenever the pressure drops to balance it out.
Scala2 is a compact domestic waterworks for maintaining constant pressure at all outlets, equipped with a frequency converter. The converter regulates the pump's speed due to changing pressure at the outlet. The waterworks constantly monitors the outlet pressure, and if it drops, the converter increases the pump's speed and thus its performance. The pressure is balanced again. This is a more gentle way of controlling the pump, extending its lifespan, as the converter evaluates how many revolutions the pump needs to start.
