Controlling room temperature has always been a major topic. Room temperature is influenced by several factors. One of them is the outdoor temperature. If temperatures drop well below zero, we usually heat at maximum capacity. However, suddenly from one day to the next, it can warm up significantly and rooms can become overheated. This undesirable effect is precisely corrected by weather-compensated control.
The weather-compensated controller monitors both room and outdoor temperature and continuously evaluates the measured data. Based on this information, it adjusts the heating output precisely according to the current outdoor and indoor conditions. Room temperature is thus much more stable, which significantly increases comfort and brings savings.
An additional accessory for weather-compensated control is a room temperature sensor, which further refines heating control by detecting other possible influences on room temperature. Such influences can include sunlight, a burning fireplace, a larger number of people, etc.
Weather-compensated control consists of a weather-compensated controller, outdoor sensor, strap-on sensor or optionally a room sensor. The control is supplied as a set of components (Siemens) or as a controller built into an actuator (Esbe).
