The Danfoss NovoCon S digital drive is characterized by high accuracy and reliability . It is designed to control Danfoss AB-QM balancing valves in connection sizes DN 10-32. Their combination serves to regulate the supply of heating / cooling water for FCUs, cooling beams, induction units, small heaters, aftercoolers of AHUs and other heating / cooling end units.

Thanks to its LED indication , which indicates the status of the drive and operating errors by means of three LED colors, it is also possible to use the drive as a flow indicator. The drive can be controlled remotely via remote communication BACnet MS / TP or Modbus RTU , but can also be connected in analog. The drive is set via the fieldbus or analog input.

Suitable applications are especially four-pipe systems with connected radiant ceiling panels and four-pipe systems with connected FCU units with one exchanger . For four-pipe systems, it is then ideal to combine the AB-QM valve and the NovoCon S actuator together with a 6-way diverter valve equipped with a NovoCon ChangeOver actuator. NovoCon S then controls not only the AB-QM valve but also the NovoCon ChangeOver actuator, which switches the system function between cooling and heating.

The NovoCon S actuator can be mounted in any position. However, the position affects the classification of the coverage class. In the case of cooling applications, it is not recommended to mount the drive upside down due to condensation.
