Belimo GK actuator for ball valves with electrical fail-safe function on the capacitor principle.

Actuator features

In the event of a power interruption, the tap turns the energy stored in the capacitors to the starting position. The principle of fail-safe function is therefore different from conventional spring actuators.

• The actuator can be operated manually using the lock button.
• After activation, the direction switch changes the direction of operation of the actuator in proper operation.
• "Emergency position" switch - the desired emergency position can be set.

Charging the capacitor

The actuator requires a certain amount of time to charge on the operating capacity. The charging time of the actuator depends on the time when the power supply was disconnected. However, the charging time does not exceed 20s, which corresponds to a power failure time of more than 10 days.

The actuator is delivered completely discharged at the factory. It requires approx. 20s to charge the capacitors to reach the required voltage level.
