DHP4 manual download
Download PDFThe Technix Augusta DHP4P LPG detector is a stationary semiconductor device designed for the timely detection of liquefied hydrocarbon gases (LPG), such as propane and butane. It operates in a diffusion air sampling mode without a fan. It detects mixtures of flammable gases but is not intended for precise identification of their composition.
Power is supplied from a 230 V AC (±10 %) mains with the option of backup power at 12 V DC. In the event of a main power failure, safety outputs (e.g., for a valve or ventilation) remain operational. The main unit housing has an IP65 protection rating, while the sensor part is rated at IP40.
The device is equipped with LED indicators (operation, alarm 1, alarm 2, fault), built-in acoustic signalling, and two relays for controlling external devices. Concentration evaluation occurs approximately every 10 seconds. If the concentration drops below the threshold value, the alarm is automatically deactivated.
The system can also include an external sensor DHP4S, powered directly from the unit. It can be placed in another part of the room or at a different height level for better space coverage.
Application:
The detector is intended for areas where LPG leakage may occur – typically garages, boiler rooms, technical rooms, dispensing stations, or storage spaces. LPG is heavier than air, so both the detector and sensor are installed low near the floor. Installation and commissioning must be carried out by a professionally qualified person. Calibration is recommended once a year, with a functional test at least once every 4 months.
