The evaluation relay RNIV1 is designed to monitor the level of conductive liquids and temperature using conductivity electrodes and a thermal fuse or PTC thermistor. This device is suitable as a functional replacement for the NIV 101/A model from Wilo and is adapted to connect both types of inputs to one relay output contact. It is designed to automatically shut down when the fluid level drops or the engine overheats, which is indicated by LEDs. The RNIV1 allows simple installation on the TS35 DIN rail and is compatible with a 24 VAC supply voltage.

Main features:

  • Inputs for conductivity electrodes and thermal fuse/PTC thermistor.
  • One potential-free changeover relay contact.
  • Status indication using LEDs: yellow (level), red (temperature).
  • Supply voltage 24 VAC.
  • TS35 DIN rail mounting for easy installation.
  • Power consumption max. 0.5VA, delay approx. 2s.
  • Lifetime at least 20 x 10^6 cycles.
  • Operating temperature -10 to 50°C , humidity 10 to 95%RH without condensation.
  • Degree of protection of the box IP40, terminal blocks IP20.

Assembly and connection:

  • Before installation and connection, it is recommended to thoroughly familiarize yourself with the instructions.
  • Electrode and power wires should be routed separately.
  • It is optimal to use a coaxial cable for electrode wires with a maximum length of 20m.
