The sludge trap with filter and magnet effectively removes all impurities and rust particles from the flowing thermal medium . It can be used mainly in heating and air conditioning systems . Cleaning is quick and easy and can be done during operation thanks to the integrated ball valve . The desilter has a large settling chamber , thanks to which there is no need to clean it too often. In addition, the transparent windows in the chamber make it possible to check the degree of clogging and to clean the sludge trap only when absolutely necessary.

The compact dimensions of the desilter guarantee that it fits all types of boilers . It does not only have to be installed in new systems, but is also suitable for existing ones. The appearance of the desilter is neutral and easily fits even into the interior .

Function

The sludge trap consists of a filter with a screen density of 800 μm, a magnet, a large trap chamber, a ball valve and a connection fitting . Water with impurities flows into the collection chamber and is driven through the inclined sieve . A magnet placed directly upstream captures the magnetic particles, the strainer filters out the rest of the dirt. The magnet is located behind the wall of the chamber, so there is no danger of soiling and it is easier to clean.

Cleaning

Transparent windows lead into the capture chamber, through which it is easy to visually check the condition of the sludge trap. Cleaning can only be done when it is really needed.

The cleaning itself is very easy. After turning the ball shut-off valve, the flow of water from the chamber is diverted straight into the pipe. The entire chamber can then be dismantled and only the water left in the chamber can be drained. All components can then be easily rinsed and cleaned under running water.

Installation

The sludge trap is installed directly under the boiler. It should always be installed in a horizontal position. Both the fixed pipe directly from the boiler and the flexible coupling can be connected to the upper connection nut.
