The actuator is installed directly on the valves without the need for any additional accessories. Assembly is easy and fast. It is designed for VVG549 .. valves for HVAC applications . The drive is controlled by a continuous signal , but it can also be controlled manually. Any control signal from the offered ones can be selected for the drive. One controller can be superior to up to ten actuators, so this model can be connected in parallel .

The actuator receives a feedback signal at terminal U. During installation, the actuator performs a self-calibration and finds out which end positions the valve stem can reach. It also immediately detects the actual force-dependent value of the valve stroke. This data is then saved for later operation.

The actuator is also equipped with a foreign body detection function , which can detect whether the valve body has not been blocked by a foreign body. The drive then makes three release attempts and, if unsuccessful, starts signaling a fault with the LED indications.

Forced control Z (Z mode) is integrated into the drive design, which is preferred to automatic mode.
