M800 series thermoelectric linear actuators are designed for short lift linear valves. The drive has built-in high-quality wax. As it moves, the sealed wax container heats up and the wax expands. The expanded wax moves the push rod to set the valve to the fully open or fully closed position, depending on the actuator model . When the power is removed, the heat source cools down, causing the wax to cool and shrink, and the actuator returns to its home position.
