The ESBE thermostatic valve of the VTC300 series is suitable for protecting solid fuel boilers up to a maximum output of 30 kW, as well as against low-temperature corrosion and for filling storage tanks. Constantly maintaining a higher temperature means higher boiler efficiency, minimizing tarring and maximizing boiler life . In most applications, the thermostatic valve is installed on the return to the boiler or to fill the storage tanks.

The glycol content in the medium is max. 50% . In the case of a glycol concentration of 30-50%, it is necessary to take into account a reduction of the maximum outlet flow by 30-40%!

Valve function

The function of the thermostatic valve is independent of its position in the application. The valve contains a thermostat which begins to open inlet A at the temperature of the mixed water outlet at outlet AB of a given ° C. If the temperature in inlet A exceeds the nominal opening temperature by 10 ° C, inlet B closes completely. It is recommended to use shut-off valves in the application to facilitate possible service.

Service and maintenance

Spare parts are available for most major parts. In most cases, it is not necessary to remove the valve from the application during service. The thermostatic cartridge can be easily replaced with a cartridge with a different opening temperature. Cartridges are marked VTC300…
