The circulation pump ALPHA3 is intended for heating systems of family houses . It offers renowned Grundfos quality, easy installation, first-class energy efficiency and reliable operation even in the most demanding conditions.

However, to make perfect use of the ALPHA3 pump, plumbers need two more important elements - the ALPHA Reader sensor module and the Grundfos GO Balance application. This state-of-the-art ALPHA3 system will allow plumbers to complete hydronic balancing quickly and accurately.

The pump shaft is made of ceramics, so there is no risk of magnetic particles contained in the pumped liquid settling in the most critical parts of the pump.

FUNCTION

AUTO ADAPT

Intelligent control mode, which always selects the most suitable operating point of the pump depending on the current need for heat supply to the object (weather changes). The AUTOADAPT function ensures unattended operation – the pump works autonomously and over time adapts its performance to the operating conditions in the system.

Proportional pressure regulation

The pump adapts the delivery head to the current flow in the system, i.e. as the flow rate increases, the pump increases the delivery head. Suitable regulation for systems with fluctuating flow and high differential temperature, especially for a standard two-pipe system of heating elements.

Constant pressure regulation

The pump maintains a constant pressure in the system regardless of the flow rate. Suitable regulation for systems with constant flow and low differential temperature, especially for floor heating and one-pipe systems of radiators.

Constant speed regulation

The pump works in fixed speed stages I, II, III - the equivalent of the old three-speed pumps. Suitable regulation for systems with constant flow, especially for hot water circulation systems.

HYDRONIC BALANCING

With the ALPHA3 pump, the ALPHA Reader sensor module and the Grundfos GO Balance application, the plumber can perform hydronic balancing easily and quickly without having a negative effect on the operation or efficiency of the pump.

You can use hydronic balancing with ALPHA3 and ALPHA Reader for:

ALPHA READER

The ALPHA Reader is a small device that attaches to the front of the ALPHA3 pump. During balancing, it detects the optical signal on the pump and communicates with the Grundfos GO Balance application via Bluetooth.
Once hydronic balancing is complete, the ALPHA Reader can simply be removed and used in the next installation.

GRUNDFOS GO BALANCE APP

You can download the Grundfos GO Balance app from the App Store or Google Play. The application evaluates the signal from the ALPHA Reader module via Bluetooth and guides you through four simple steps of hydronic balancing of the heating system.
