The principle of the induction sensor IFM IG5719 consists in the induction of eddy currents on a moving vane. The sensor is equipped with a permanent magnet whose magnetic field is influenced by a rotating blade. The blade in motion induces eddy currents, which are then sensed by the coil in the sensor.


With regard to the non-contact sensing principle , small dimensions, robust construction and material resistance , this sensor is particularly suitable for applications related to turbo-gear.
