As a central mixing device, the NovaMix Value self-acting thermostatic mixing valve ensures a constant temperature of the mixed water at the outlet. This protects the user from scalding at high water temperatures in the tank at the point of withdrawal. The valves offer a wider range of applications thanks to three available dimensions [connections ¾" (DN15), 1" (DN20) and 1¼" (DN25)]. Special valve seals on the stem of the thermostatic piston keep unwanted admixture to a minimum*, ensuring maximum use of water temperature in the stack.

NovaMix Value is used mainly in the field of health technology as a control element for reducing the temperature of service water from storage heaters. In the event of a cold water failure, the hot water supply will be automatically cut off and tightly closed. They are also suitable for a number of other applications requiring a constant temperature of the mix, e.g. as mixers in heating systems and charging the tank with a solid fuel boiler.

FUNCTION

The mixing valve is supplied with hot water from the tank and cold water from the water system. The temperature of the mix is recorded using a thermostatic element. When the temperature deviates from the set temperature, the thermoscope moves the coupled spindle and automatically corrects the flow of hot and cold water at the inlets so that the temperature of the mix reaches back to the set value and thus always remains constant.
