The NovaMix High Capacity self-acting thermostatic mixing valve ensures a constant temperature of the mixed water at the sampling point as a central mixing device. In this way, constant protection against scalding at the point of collection can be guaranteed, even at high tank temperatures. The large cross-section of the valve in NovaMix High Capacity reduces the pressure loss of the valve (higher kV S), which significantly increases the flow capacity of the mix at peak consumptions. A special seal on the regulating piston reduces unwanted admixture of cold water to a minimum (low internal leakage of cold water), which results in maximum use of the tank temperature. The NovaMix High Capacity thermostatic mixing valve is mainly used in the sanitary engineering field as a control device to reduce the temperature of service water from the hot water tank. In the event of a cold water failure, the hot water supply will be automatically cut off and tightly closed. Many other uses are offered here for areas where a constant mix temperature is required. E.g. as a mixing device that maintains a constant temperature during surface heating and when charging the tank with a solid fuel boiler.

FUNCTION

The mixing valve is supplied with hot water from the tank and cold water from the water system. The temperature of the mix is recorded using a thermostatic element and compared to the set nominal value. When the temperature of the mix deviates from the desired value, the thermostat acts on the regulating piston, which regulates the amount of hot and cold water supply at the inlets so that the temperature of the mix corresponds to the set value.
