Download PDFThe carbon dioxide detection sensor is used to detect and provide early warning of dangerous (toxic) concentrations. The E2608-CO2-DM sensors are designed to detect dangerous concentrations of carbon dioxide in ventilation ducts in garages, boiler rooms, kitchens and other exhaust systems. The DM design allows the sensor to be installed directly in the air duct.
Carbon dioxide is heavier than air and therefore sticks to the ground. The wall detector should thus be mounted a maximum of half a meter above the floor. When used in HVAC piping, the sensor is then placed directly at the flow point.
The EVIKON E2608-CO-DM detector is equipped with a two-stage signaling with outputs for a switching relay . It does not have its own light and sound signaling. The detectors of the E2608 series are an intelligent solution for modern applications with ModBus RS485 communication and two analog outputs 4-20 mA / 0-10 V.
Made in a robust design with IP65 protection - ABS plastic, resistant to mechanical damage. Stiff, tough, resistant to low and high temperatures, low absorbency, harmless to health. The service life of the sensor is more than 10 years.
Each sensor is factory calibrated to default values (described in the manual). The law states that recalibration must be performed at least once every 12 months. Calibration may only be performed by a person certified by the manufacturer.
The sensor is designed to detect carbon dioxide:
CO 2
