Heat and Cold Meters

A thermal energy meter is a device designed to measure thermal energy that is transferred in a heat exchanger to a fluid known as the heat transfer fluid.

A thermal energy meter is either a compact meter or a combined meter consisting of subassemblies, which means a flow sensor, a pair of temperature sensors, and a calorimetric counter, or a combination of a compact and combined meter.

Verification Validity Period

Heat and Cold Meters and Their Components Period
a) compact heat and cold meters 5 years
b) meters of the volume of the carrier medium 5 years
c) temperature sensors 5 years
d) temperature sensors with built-in transmitter 2 years
e) pressure and differential pressure sensors 2 years
f) evaluation units of combined heat and cold meters 5 years

Meters of Water Volume Period
a) for cold and hot water - mechanical 5 years
b) for cold and hot water - static  8 years
e) water meters for cold and hot water except for meters mentioned in points a) and b) 5 years

Accuracy Classes

For thermal energy meters, accuracy classes: 1, 2, 3 are defined.
When measuring household consumption, it is allowed to use any meter of class 3.
For commercial purposes or within light industry, the use of a class 2 meter is required.
