A basic room thermostat allows you to set the desired comfortable temperature in the space, and some even have a switch for cooling, heating, or a fan. Once the set temperature is reached, the heat source is turned off. If the temperature in the space falls below the desired level, the relay activates the heat source, and the room heats up again. It is important to note that these thermostats do not have a time program. Installation is carried out on the wall at shoulder height and on the opposite end of the room away from heating and sunlight. Be sure to read the power supply parameters before purchasing, as some are powered by a 230V network and others by AA batteries (which are usually included). A final piece of advice: installation and electrical connection should be carried out by a person with the appropriate qualifications for electrical installation work due to the high voltage involved, otherwise there is a risk of injury.
